So a couple of weeks ago I was added to a dodgy looking playlist. I immediately informed Spotify through their submission form (I even made a video about it for my YouTube channel). But yesterday Distrokid sent me an email saying my song has been removed.
I’ve been looking around and people are saying I can just reupload my song with the old ISRC code… but does that mean I have to create a ‘new’ release, reupload everything and pay Distrokid again?
Hey! I realise this was a week ago, so you probably have some more info now. But in my experience, DistroKid are very helpful when you ask them questions and need help. So I’d contact them and explain what happened and ask your questions, because they’ve always been very helpful to me!
I hope you manage to get it sorted! So annoying when these things go wrong that are completely out of our control!

Spotify took one of my EPs down a few years ago. It is on every other platform, just not Spotify.
I was thinking of re-releasing the EP with a new ISRCs for spotify (with a bit of a remaster) and maybe add a track.
Never did get an explanation from Spotify.
