I hope you are doing well :).
I am working on the release of some original songs. For the first three, I also produced an acoustic version and a remix because I was told it could be a good way to attract new listeners and give the songs a new ‘life.’ However, a small independent label has advised me that this might not be a good strategy for the Spotify algorithm.
Has anyone else tried this approach and released different versions of the same song? Was it effective for you?

What strategy did you go for? How did it go?
I’d say that rather than ‘officially’ releasing your acoustic and remix versions, just use them on your socials to make additional content with, and gain traction that way. The alternative versions give you more content to get in front of people so that they hear your song and become familiar with it, which could help lead them to listening to your official release
Although like I say, I’m more than likely way too late with the advice!
