Introduction Corner

Hello, all.

I’m Tyler Gene, I drum for and manage rock band ‘Through the Darkness’. Check us out! We’re releasing a bunch of new music and could use any help or insight on the marketing process. We’ve had some decent success over the last five years and would like to reach a million streams and views with our next release in May.

Thanks for having me!

Hi All!

My name is Scott Lippitt and I make Indie music (think Elliott Smith, Big Thief, Jack Johnson, Death Cab for Cutie).

My short term goal is to release an album on October 7th, 2022 called “Meaning Maker”, with four singles leading up to the release. Currently, the album is fully produced, and I am in promotion mode.

Interesting Fact: I’ve left two different religions in my life and have struggled with questions of meaning all my life. I’m finally in a happy place of choosing to create meaning instead of request it from the universe.

Excited to be here!

Hello, my name is Benjamin, I already have a bio written but getting to why I’m here. Reason why I’m here is so I can learn music, to have help being promoted to produce my music. I have a sound cloud if you’re curious about my music type in 7h3 L1573n3r and you’ll find me. I have 9 tracks made using Tonestone. I did go back to my already featured tracks and remixed them so they can be ready to be made into my 1st album. I need some help of where to go so I can start being an artist of music. Thank you for spending time reading :v:.

Hey!!

I’m Josephine De Smet, I’m 27 years old and I create dark pop, by that I mean not the mainstream type of pop but a bit darker sounding, think of Billie Eilish for example, my music usually contains synths, drums, bass, layered vocals. My lyrics are often characterized by taboo subjects such as alcoholism, IPSV, etc.

I’m learning to produce my own songs and it’s been quite hard but I really want to be good at it and get to a point where I know what I’m doing.

Short term goals: really learn my plugins so I can get the most out of them, understand why I make certain changes in the mixing process, release Enemy, a song I’ve been draggin on for about two years now, do a photoshoot so I can have more professional photos on my artist pages and socials.

Long term goals: I want to get to a point where mixing is as “easy” as using melodyne or ableton is for example, where I know what I’m doing and why. Where I don’t have to ask for help because I can’t trust my own ears (of course I will always ask for feedback). I want to be able to put a new song out every month… but now I lack the skills, money and time to do so because I always get stuck in the mixing. The ultimate goal is to be able to perform for fans, so not necessarily festivals but venues where people come to see me. I don’t think that’s an easy goal, I’m not talking about stages like Wembley with a large capacity, but maybe even a stage like Trix in belgium with a capacity of 100-1100. To fill up something like that would be insane to me!!!

Interesting fact: every “interesting” fact I could write sounds either really common or arrogant. I really like daims though… besides that, music is pretty much all I do besides work… I want to make people feel like they’re not alone in what they’re going through. I want to be the voice for the unheard.

In general I’m just pretty weird and people seem to like that :tipping_hand_woman:

Hey
I’m in Seattle
I’m jumping back in in my 60’s as well
I should have never quit, If I had this information here I wouldn’t have.

I’m still exploring what kind of original music I make, but it seems to be somewhat Pink Floyd Peter Gabriel Kate Bush like, I’d open for them.

Short term- I got back into singing after several decades absence.
I specialize in classic metal - Robert Halford

I’m all in and will never let it go again.

I’ve chosen to form a Judas Priest tribute act, just to get started with some stage time as I build out my originals.

Judas sells beer.
Interesting fact?
I grew up in and was around the Seattle Grunge movement, and the Members of Queensryche are family friends.
I am also a Hypnotherapist.

Hi Everyone

I’m Jim. I’m the front man and chief cook and bottle washer with my band We’re All Aliens. We’re based in Merseyside UK and make hard rock music with a melodic feel. Our short term goals are to build our profile online and traction for the music we make. Our long term goals is to make this monetised sufficiently to ensure do it full time and for dedicated fanbase to love what we do enough to buy gig tickets and merch. An interesting fact about myself would be that I was once described by the Music Publishers Association of the UK as “one of the leading unsigned singer songwriters in the country.”

Hey Marcel J. (42) aka Goldilocks Planet from Berlin, Germany here: besides being an Artist, I have studied graphic design and work as a project/product manager, scrum master and agile coach. I have a small homestudio to produce and write songs. If you are interested in co-writes hit me up

ARTIST BIO

We fight for it, we suffer for it, we crave it, we smell, we taste, we hear and we would kill for it. We want to dive into it. We all deserve it. Love. Love is a bouncy castle. Love is a rollercoaster. Love is our manifest. Love is us. Love is Life.

The digital one-man band “Goldilocks Planet” is revolving around the Austrian Singer/Songwriter Marcel J. Wüstner. He has been crafting descriptive-appealing, colorful-cheeky, disreputable-naive and powerful-emotional English- and German acoustic folk/rock with disco influences since 2010. His lyrics and songs deal in detailed stories with the human love as an imperfect and unpredictable design and meander from the grey concrete of Berlin to the lush green hills of Seattle, from the peachy yellow sandy beaches of Santa Monica to the dark and sticky crowded pubs in Ireland.

With the help of an ingenious loop station, virtuoso guitar accompaniment, blues harps, polyphonic vocals, vintage synthesiser sounds meshed up with classic drum computer beats “Goldilocks Planet” creates an acoustic psychedelic waltz of honest and engaging moments so the the audience can open up and sing, clap or sway along.

“Goldilocks Planet” is heavily influenced by the greats of songwriting such as Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash, Lennon/McCartney and great guitarists like Nile Rodgers, Carlos Santana and Eric Clapton with modern influences like Jack White, LP and Calexico.

Goldilocks Planet played during the Berlin Music Week at the “First We Take the Streets” festival, Fêtes de la Musique and the Paretz political festival. There were also appearances in Privatclub (Berlin), Wabe (Berlin), Birgit & Bier (Berlin), GIG Linden (Hanover), Die Weisse Rose (Berlin), Lagari (Berlin), Moonkeys (Berlin, Raumklang (Berlin), Ex -Cabiola (Berlin), Kopfkino (Berlin), Stone Brewing (Berlin) and is known on many open stages in Berlin and around the world: Artliners (Berlin), Arcanoa (Berlin), Madame Claude (Berlin), 7 Stufen(Berlin), Collegium Hungaricum (Berlin), Lux (Berlin), Klub K (Hamburg), Scratch Deli (Seattle, USA), Djili Pop (Copenhagen, DK) and Rahuset (Copenhagen, DK).

What’s good folks? Super excited to be here!

My name is Steve Davit, I’m a touring/recording saxophonist for the electro/pop duo Marian Hill and produce my own music. I also write a record horn parts for other bands, most recently an artist named Davey Harris.

I’ve been playing sax since I was 8 and love jazz and funk. I’ve been a professional musician for hire for the past 8 years and have released some of my own music, but I haven’t put too much attention on it.

More recently I’ve been into writing meditative music and writing my own guided meditations.

I also do a bunch of experimental improv work - though I’ve found it challenging to find an audience for that.

Lastly, I’ve been a creativity and mental toughness coach for the past 5 years, working primarily with musicians. I focus more on process, accountability and goal setting - I love sending people to Damien’s YouTube channel for more of the nitty gritty.

I’m looking forward to learning a bunch from all of you to help my own career grow and to help my clients flourish.

Cheers!!

Hello everyone, I’m Vincent and after exploring what DKMBA has to offer I’m very excited to be here. I know exactly what I’m here for

Ho

Marcin not a music creator -Trying get knowledge how to get run success music events
Doing Metal 2 the masses in Poland -
Working to get some more attention to polish metal stage - Not only big names but all other bands.
How to work with band - do a strategy to run then career properly.
Still looking for this 1 , 2 names where I can use this what I will learn here and give this to band !

Hello to all on DKMBA,

I’m Gary and currently working on my project ‘thatch’. I’m a singer-songwriter and have just completed my degree in Songwriting and Music Production at BIMM in Birmingham. I must say I am a bit surprised at how quiet it is in here having had a look around but a community is only what we make of it.

I presently create music in the Indie music category and would class it as Indie Pop or Indie Fusion and have released two tracks out to the world through Distrokid to the normal streaming services.

Short Term Goals are to work on increasing my fan base for the live music gigs I have been playing on the local Birmingham live music scene in Digbeth Birmingham playing support for many different bands, culminating in our last gig which we headlined as our first headline for a local promotor.

I am keen to get my foot in the door within the music industry if I can but positions seem to few and far between and like most jobs they want qualifications and experience which I am still working on.

An interesting fact about myself is that I have taken up Rugby Union whilst I was away at University and I intend to continue playing when I return home.

Cheers

Gary

Good afternoon!
I am the marketing manager and COO at Songs for Centuries Inc. We own over 450 copyrights in several genres, however our songwriter (Mr Songwriter) specializes in wholesome R&B Love Music. After listening to some of the advice from Damien Keyes we may try to push into a smaller niche than R&B so thats our first challenge. Our short term goals is the minimum of 1 million streams per month from the release of one song per month. However, since the copyright laws allow for us to collect revenues for all our derivatives, we anticipate to derive and exploit each song to its fullest extent.

Since there is so much going on around the world today that impacts our daily lives, some of our songs we consider anthems, and we have and write songs that are relatable. In times of war, music flourished. This is where many artist rose up talking about these issues and we intend create new songs people can relate to.

One interesting fact is that Mr Songwriter also releases his bahai prayers and meditations under another artist name, Belitivity.
