I broke my Spotify - how do I fix it?

After starting your course on ‘1 million Spotify streams’, it has become apparent to me that I have made some very bad choices in the past and paid for some very dodgy playlists which were in the end probably bots or click farms. I think I have ‘broken’ my Spotify account as you put it in one of your videos! The biggest issue I see is the ‘fans also like’ page is completely wrong, with very random artists unrelated to my music and with almost no followings. I can therefore assume the algorithms to my music is completely disjointed, and probably working against me. Most of my followers are also probably not ‘real fans’ and give false signals, although it’s hard to know if they are real fans or not now!

I understand why (now) this has happened, but the real question is, how can I fix it?

Many thanks,

Felix Fraser

Hi Felix

I see nobody has replied but we have a similar issue - we just chucked £15 to WeDoPromotion on a recommend and got a few thousand plays but a terrible play % compared to our organic stuff. We are just literally starting out - so my question is - do we just start again (as i said we literally are just starting out so have a few plays and a handful of followers) or is this not a big deal for us as we are so small at the moment??

Any guidance appreciated as the excellent million streams tutorial does imply that i may have ruined my life with such idiocy!

If this is old hat and been covered before can you point to the historic relevant thread instead?

Cheers all
