Help with mixing tracks please

Hi, I realise that I am ok at making music but not at all good a mixing, I don’t have the ears for it.
I’m currently recording at home and can record most things with a direct interface.
As a flute player I do get breath noise and clipping but have managed to EQ most of this out.
What I’m looking for is someone who can mix the track to give its space and to blend the flute with the backing…

I’m in the UK and can usually hire a studio for a day and get the guy at the studio to record mix and master but I’m thinking its quite costly when I have done all the other recording at home and would only need a couple of hours of someone’s time (and skills).
Any ideas, thoughts or feedback?

Hey Steve, im interested in mixing your song…(s), check out my mixes following the link in my profile.

Hey Mange - looks good.
When you say to want to use the track in your portfolio, is it to add to the SoundCloud channel only? Just thinking ahead about my release strategy on the track

Cheers
Steve

Yes I only intend to use it on my soundcloud page and/or my personal web homepage if I ever get to make one. Also… it´s only for the free tier, if you pay for the mix you decide but I would probably want to post it on my page but that is up to you. Maybe some weeks or months later after your release, maybe just a snippet of the song, you decide.

Cheers
Magnus (Mange)

OK Magnus - sounds ok to me. What’s the charge if I want to go down the paid route please?
Thanks
Steve

I hate to say it but it is the usual… it depends. But… I´m not that complicated, let´s start with how many tracks are there, what are they. Vocals, flute, guitar(s), bass, percussion?

If you have troubles sending something big the site wetransfer is great.

Sent you a Dropbox in the email - thank you!

man i have struggled for my ENTIRE musical journey and the final mix, and i’ve bought endless equipment and mixing devices, and converters, and you-name-it, trying to improve this area of my productions, to only moderate improvement over the years. i could just never get to that final slick professional result i wanted.

but then i realized there were professionals online that could help me with it for very affordable prices, so i fired myself as a mixer, and now I’m focusing on making music, which i’m better at.

no one can be good at everything. there are too many disciplines in making music, that all require 10,000 hours of practice to master.
