Hi everyone,
I’m reaching out for help or advice because my decades-old Facebook account, full of irreplaceable family memories, was recently suspended due to a copyright complaint. The problem is, Facebook provided no specific details about what content violated their policy, leaving me in the dark.
At first, I assumed it was related to music I posted, as I distribute my original music through DistroKid. I responded to the initial notice with proof of ownership, thinking that would clear things up, but it wasn’t enough, and now my account is fully suspended. I recently read that music distributed via DistroKid can sometimes trigger copyright flags on platforms like Facebook, even if you own the rights. Has anyone else experienced this?
I’ve tried contacting Facebook through their Help Center, but I’m getting no responses, and it feels like I’ve hit a dead end. I can’t even access my account to check for more details or download my data. This account holds years of photos, videos, and memories, so losing it is heartbreaking.
Has anyone else dealt with a vague copyright suspension on Facebook, especially related to DistroKid or music? If so, how did you resolve it? Did you manage to get in touch with Facebook support, or did you find another way to recover your account? Any advice on what I can do next would be greatly appreciated, as I’m desperate to get my account back.
Thanks so much for any insights or shared experiences!
